About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant at Green Leaves Early Learning Centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Centre in preparing nutritious meals, purees, and special meals for babies and children, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality.
  2. Assist with budgeting and costing for the kitchen, providing accurate and timely financial reports as required.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service to families, greeting them in a friendly and welcoming manner, and offering barista service as needed.
  4. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to Food and Council Authority requirements and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  5. Participate in the Centre's regular culinary classes with the children, promoting a love of cooking and healthy eating.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. A Hospitality Certificate and Food Safety Certificate are essential for this role.
  2. A current Working with Children's Check is required, and the ability to obtain this is a must.
  3. Current Child Protection Training and Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR, and First Aid Certificates are also required.
  4. Prior experience working in a childcare or aged care kitchen is highly desirable, but not essential.
