About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our team at Churches of Christ, Gracehaven Aged Care Service, Bundaberg. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving meals to our residents, ensuring a high standard of food hygiene and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of meals for residents in the dining room and tray service to their rooms.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and equipment throughout the shift.
  • Set up and clean the dining room before and after serving food.
  • Maintain food hygiene and safety practices according to legislation.
About You

We are looking for someone who is committed to providing excellent customer service to our residents. You will be a team player with the ability to work under pressure and have knowledge of working within a large kitchen environment and understands the importance of keeping a clean workspace.

Ideally, you will have a Certificate II in Kitchen Operations, experience working within a kitchen and serving of meals, and experience working within the Aged Care industry. You will also need to have a current National Police Certificate or be willing to complete one.
