As a Technical Director, you will be part of our planning leadership team, influencing the direction of our growing team. Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Planning Manager in growing the Planning Team's market presence across professional networks in NSW.
  2. Identify and foster new opportunities and relationships within the built environment sector.
  3. Deliver planning analysis and research with a commercially astute lens to achieve exceptional results.
  4. Provide expert evidence in the Land and Environment Court.
  5. Stay up-to-date with legislative and policy changes in the planning realm.
  6. Manage multiple projects simultaneously without direct supervision.
  7. Mentor and lead junior staff to drive team growth.
  8. Liaise with clients, councils, consultants, and government agencies.
Requirements
  1. 15+ years of hands-on experience in town planning or equivalent, with post-graduate qualifications advantageous.
  2. Previous senior/leadership role in a consulting environment.
  3. Demonstrated technical autonomy working across multiple sectors, including town planning, property, and development.
  4. Highly proficient in business, client, and project development.
  5. Driven to pass on knowledge by mentoring junior staff.
  6. Thorough understanding of project budgets and deliverables, with excellent client service.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
