Senior Retail Operations Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Retail Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail shopping centre asset. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional to lead our team and drive business success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, with expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, and personnel management. They will be responsible for maintaining efficient operating costs, preparing budgets and reports, and analysing trading figures to inform business decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the retail shopping centre asset on a day-to-day basis, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service
  • Maintain control over operating costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures
  • Prepare income and expenditure budgets, operational reports, sales and marketing reports, and leasing reports to inform business decisions
  • Analyse trading figures, occupancy costs, and retail sales trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Review and collect rent, and administer leases to ensure timely payments and minimal disputes
  • Foster excellent relationships with tenants, providing exceptional customer service and support
  • Assist retailers with strategies to boost foot traffic and increase sales
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to maximise tenant mix and input on strategies to drive business success
  • Provide leadership and direction to administrative support staff, empowering them to achieve their full potential

Key Requirements:

  • Personable and outgoing with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication and administration skills
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of process and communication, with experience in budgeting and financial analysis
  • Leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
