Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced radiographer with advanced mammographic skills, including Tomo/stereotactic biopsy or breast ultrasound to join our team.

This is a senior clinical position where your expertise in breast imaging will make a real difference.

  • Perform high-quality screening and assessment mammography without supervision.
  • Conduct advanced procedures including stereotactic biopsies, VABB or breast ultrasound.
  • Provide training, mentoring and clinical supervision to junior staff.
  • Maintain and monitor equipment and perform quality assurance checks.
  • Engage across multiple satellite sites within Metro South Health.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing high-quality mammography examinations.
  • Conducting advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies and breast ultrasound.
  • Providing training and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Maintaining and monitoring equipment.
  • Engaging with multiple satellite sites.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Strong clinical skills in mammography, plus Advanced Tomo/stereotactic core biopsy or Breast ultrasound expertise (with ASAR accreditation).
  • A Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP) or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Current registration with AHPRA & radiation safety licence.
  • A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (highly regarded).
  • Flexibility to travel across multiple Metro South Health facilities.
