Job Description:

This Register provides a mechanism to recruit Enrolled Nurses for casual vacancies in acute settings.

The Register will remain open until 30 June 2026 and will be reviewed on a regular basis. It may be used to fill short, fixed-term vacancies where normal recruitment processes are not practicable.

Applications are invited from Enrolled Nurses interested in being considered for fixed-term full-time, part-time or casual employment periods up to 12 months within acute settings at the following locations:

  • Royal Hobart Hospital
  • Launceston General Hospital
  • North West Regional Hospital (Burnie)
  • Mersey Community Hospital (Latrobe)

COVID-19 Immunisations: If you wish to register your interest in Community Nursing (including district hospitals and health centres), or Mental Health Nursing, please follow the links in the original posting.

Qualifications and checks: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines).

Pre-employment check: Conviction check in the areas of crimes of violence, sex-related offences, serious drug offences, and crimes involving dishonesty. Identification check. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
