Job Title: Project Finance Specialist

A key opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Finance Specialist to support the successful delivery of strategic operational initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in project accounting, seeking to take on new challenges and contribute to business growth.

The Project Finance Specialist will work closely with senior leaders, guiding stakeholders through financial processes, coordinating vendor activities, and ensuring projects are delivered smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day aspects of multiple projects across various functions, including finance, operations, and technology.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Engage with end users to understand current workflows, identify process gaps, and support the transition to improved financial systems and practices.
  • Support the CFO in evaluating, selecting, and managing third-party vendors and consultants.
  • Drive the collection of user requirements and process insights to support the planning and execution of project initiatives.
  • Assist in delivering change management activities, including training materials, workshops, go-live, and hypercare support.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), tracking issues, and ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, dependencies, and roadblocks.
  • Prepare and present regular progress updates to internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Document and share lessons learned through post-implementation reviews, supporting continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • 3-4 years' experience in a project/accountant role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Tertiary qualified in finance and accounting, with strong knowledge of financial principles and regulations.
  • Strong exposure to system implementations, ideally across ERP systems or similar platforms.
  • Confident in gathering information, understanding operational workflows, and mapping requirements.
  • Comfortable working alongside senior leaders and external vendors.
