Job Summary

Skillful Investment Operations Specialist sought for a senior role combining compliance oversight, operational leadership, and boutique relationship management.

This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage expertise in investment operations, bolster process efficiency, and foster strong relationships with external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee trade management, fund accounting, and client reporting functions as a subject matter expert;
  • Establish and maintain key operational relationships with boutiques to ensure servicing needs are met;
  • Coordinate the implementation of operational changes across various teams;
  • Manage due diligence questionnaires and ensure timely responses from stakeholders;
  • Monitor pre-trade and post-trade compliance for funds and mandates, engaging with Investment Managers on breaches and ensuring adherence to guidelines;
  • Ensure daily regulatory reporting obligations are fulfilled;
  • Provide guidance on complex corporate action accounting and review/approve processed actions;
  • Approve compliance reporting, data requests, and proxy voting instructions;
  • Lead onboarding and offboarding processes for new products to guarantee accurate rule implementation;
  • Support statutory account preparation and compliance plan audits;
  • Deliver regular reports to senior management on fund activities and compliance matters;
  • Contribute to operational improvement projects and drive efficiency gains across functions;
  • Coach and mentor junior staff while preparing training materials to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field;
  • CA/CPA/CFA qualifications or working towards;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in investment/funds management preferably within middle or back office;
  • Sound knowledge of compliance regulations under financial services law;
  • In-depth understanding of portfolio and order management systems (PMS & OMS);
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong skills across broader Office Suite;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on accuracy and process enhancement.
