About This Opportunity:

As a skilled Senior Parent Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting parents with complex needs to build skills and confidence.

This position involves providing person-centred case management, addressing vocational and non-vocational needs, and promoting positive outcomes through tailored expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver services to parents with mental health issues, housing problems, addiction, family and domestic violence, and trauma
  • Establish partnerships with community organisations to create strong opportunities
  • Maintain engagement through a calm, respectful, welcoming, and child-friendly service approach
  • Build trusted relationships with parents and their circumstances to achieve positive results
  • Collaborate with culturally diverse parents, employers, education providers, and community service staff

Requirements:

  • A Diploma level qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Employment Services, Education or Early Childhood Education and Care, Health, or Society and Culture
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Knowledge of the labour market
