About the Role:

A 12-month contract is available for an APS5 Co-Design & Engagement Officer to join the Communications & Engagement Division of a Large federal agency undertaking several major transformation projects.

The initial hourly rate for this contract is $55.24, plus Superannuation. The role is based in Richmond, with 3 days in the office and the rest from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a high-performing team to effectively engage with people with disability, their families, and carers using a nationally consistent engagement approach.
  • Representing the Agency at external meetings, providing information and guidance to people with disability, NDIS participants, and the wider community.
  • Delivering co-design and engagement activities and projects against the NDIA Co-design and Engagement strategy by applying co-design communication and engagement experience.
  • Delivering clear, concise, and effective messaging to people with disability, their families, and carers, as well as other community and mainstream stakeholders.
  • Creating accessible meeting documents and written communication.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check, and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
