About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Worker or Peer Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with lived experience of mental health issues to achieve their hopes and dreams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to individuals accessing our services, focusing on their recovery journey and goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to support individuals in achieving their recovery goals.
  • Work collaboratively with the individual, their family, and other support networks to ensure a comprehensive and strengths-based approach to recovery.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure the individual's needs are being met and their recovery goals are being achieved.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in recovery-based practice.
Requirements
  • A Certificate IV or above in a relevant field or a minimum of 2 years of full-time experience working in the human services field.
  • A strong commitment to recovery-based practice and a willingness to work in a strengths-based and person-led approach.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with lived experience of mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated alignment to Flourish Australia's values and a commitment to delivering person-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and other stakeholders.
