Emergency Department Nurse Specialist

As a Registered Staff Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients from birth through their adult life cycle.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and document patient data within 24 hours of admission.
- Document significant findings of ongoing patient assessment.
- Formulate the patient plan of care based on age-specific needs.
- Communicate the patient plan of care through shift reports and other established procedures.
- Implement and document teaching plans in the patient record.
- Organize own patient care and demonstrate ability to set priorities.
- Administer treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriately.
- Use standard precautions as outlined in the Nursing Department Infection Control Manual.
- Evaluate nursing interventions to changing patient situations.
- Ability to coordinate and supervise staff assignments.
- Ability to tactfully communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to use various equipment associated with nursing practice.
- Ability to perform physical demands such as standing/walking and lifting objects/patients.
