Job Description:

Urbis is seeking a motivated and dynamic professional to collaborate with leading experts in the field of spatial analysis. This exciting opportunity caters to individuals with 1-3 years of industry experience who are eager to fast-track their geospatial career.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality GIS services across a wide range of projects, collaborating with consulting staff, and ensuring timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compose high-quality cartographic products, aligning them with corporate branding and standard product specifications.
  • Manage and maintain spatial data to ensure accuracy and accessibility for project needs.
  • Perform spatial analyses and other geo-processing tasks, including Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) and spatial queries.
  • Engage in solution engineering, including web GIS, publishing digital maps, and configuring spatial tools and products.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Geography, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Economics or similar.

Experience using desktop GIS (ArcGIS Pro preferred) and enterprise or web GIS platforms (ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online preferred) is essential.

A strong understanding of associated technologies that manipulate data, automate tasks, or develop solutions is also required.
