Career Development Specialist

Making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual disability is at the heart of this rewarding role. As a Career Development Advisor, you will be responsible for creating sustainable employment matches that benefit both the individual and the business.
This front-line, target-driven position requires strong relationship management skills, experience in employment services, and a proven track record in sales or target-driven environments.
- Build relationships with local employers through networking, cold calling, and business development to identify job opportunities.
- Work one-on-one with participants to understand their goals, address barriers, and develop tailored employment pathways.
- Match participants to suitable roles and support them through recruitment, placement, and post-placement care.
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation aligned with contractual and organisational standards.
- Meet performance targets and KPIs related to placements, customer satisfaction, and business development.
To excel in this role, you will require:
- Experience in employment services, recruitment, training, or community services.
- Proven success in a sales or target-driven environment.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
- Understanding of employer needs and the local labour market.
- Ability to work independently and in a dispersed team environment.
- Experience working with people with intellectual disability or other support needs (highly regarded).
