Key Responsibilities:

  • An advanced level of technical skills in Phlebotomy is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procedures and processes of Specimen Collection is necessary.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in Specimen Reception procedures and laboratory operations are essential.
  • Effective communication with patients, nursing and medical staff is crucial.
  • Leading teams to positive outcomes is vital.
  • Implementing quality systems meeting NATA/ISO accreditation/certification requirements is mandatory.
  • Supervising and managing staff in line with quality human resource management practices is necessary.
  • Commitment to professional self-development is expected.">

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification such as Certificate 3 or 4 in Phlebotomy or Certificate IV in Pathology Laboratory Techniques is required.
  • Contemporary computer skills for Data Entry, Excel, and Word are necessary.
  • Participation in 24-hour shift, on-call, or weekend roster arrangements is required.
  • Visa conditions if not a permanent resident of Australia must be met.
  • Reasonable adjustments for workplace or work performance are available.">
