We are seeking an experienced Demand Planning Specialist to join our client's team. As a Demand Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining demand forecasting models, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with sales and supply chain partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Demand Forecasting Models
Develop and maintain accurate and reliable demand forecasting models based on historical data, industry trends, and customer input. Ensure that the models are aligned with the company's strategic vision and goals.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional TeamsCollaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather and analyze data on market trends, customer demand, and product performance. Ensure that the sales team is aligned with the demand plan.
Ensure Alignment with Sales and Supply Chain PartnersEnsure that the demand plan is correctly shared with sales and supply chain partners across manufacturing sites. Collaborate with key customers to align forward plans, including promotions, seasonality, and events.
Perform Analytical AnalysisPerform analytical analysis on future trends and build models/scenarios in line with the forward strategic vision of the sales team and customers. Utilize forecasting tools and techniques to predict customer demand and market trends.
Identify and Address Potential Demand and Supply IssuesIdentify and address potential demand and supply issues proactively. Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
Candidate Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will have a solid demand planning background in an FMCG environment, preferably gained within a food manufacturing environment. Tertiary qualifications relevant to supply chain or manufacturing systems will be highly regarded. Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred but not essential. Intermediate Excel skills are required.
