Senior Financial Professional

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Professional to oversee core financial operations and manage compliance, reporting, and risk. This is a hands-on role ideal for a self-sufficient accountant comfortable with business management software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, BAS, STP, super, payroll tax); support external advisors in maintaining regulatory adherence.
  • Month-End Close - Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments. Review and sign off financial reports.
  • Payments & Cash Flow - Review and process EFT payments, reconcile payment journals, maintain weekly cash flow visibility.
  • AP/AR & Claims Oversight - Support the finance team with complex rebate claims, trade spend adjustments, and non-standard AP/AR issues.
  • Systems Support (Business Central) - Provide first-line support for business management software troubleshooting; liaise with IT partners and stakeholders to resolve issues.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant qualified with 5+ years' experience in small to medium-sized enterprises
  • Comfortable managing a team and working with external advisors
  • Proficient with business management software (Fenwick preferred)
  • Practical, resourceful, and proactive – you get things done and solve problems quickly
  • A commitment to upholding professional standards in all interactions
