Product Design Leadership Opportunity

We're seeking a highly experienced Product Design Lead to join our Brisbane-based team at Jumbo Interactive.

Salary BandingThis role comes with a competitive salary band of $130,000 - $150,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
About The RoleIn this critical position, you'll be responsible for coaching and mentoring a talented design team, ensuring excellence in design output and adherence to brand standards. You'll work closely with the Head of Product to shape and optimize design workflows, focusing on maintaining high-quality design deliverables.
The Product Design Lead will provide strategic direction and oversight, driving team performance and integrating design thinking into the product roadmap. Additionally, you'll oversee resourcing and hiring efforts for the design team, working closely with the Head of Product to make key decisions.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to the design team, helping them refine their craft and grow professionally.
- Work closely with the Head of Product to enhance and implement effective design workflows.
- Take ownership of high-visibility or complex design projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met with exceptional quality.
- Set and maintain high design quality and innovation standards.
- Conduct regular design reviews to uphold the highest standards of quality and brand alignment.
We're looking for an experienced Product Design Lead who can drive design excellence and lead a talented team. Key requirements include:
- Proven experience in product design, with a focus on leadership and design quality.
- Experience mentoring and developing design teams.
- Strong ability to conduct design reviews and uphold brand and UI consistency.
- Expertise in aligning design strategy with business and product objectives.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and design system management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
