Mechanical Team Lead

Cement Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and participate in Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) training, communication sessions, and toolbox talks to ensure SHE is the first consideration in maintenance activities.
- Ensure Risk Assessments are correctly completed and safety observations are undertaken frequently, mentoring and coaching team members as needed.
- Manage day-to-day work responsibilities for site mechanical workers, including the development and delivery of the weekly plan.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and maximize the value of maintenance spend.
- Provide input to planners and support plant breakdowns, ensuring a high quality of work is consistently performed.
- Organize cost-effective training, coaching, and communications to meet the identified needs of the team.
- Trade qualified within the mechanical maintenance field with experience in heavy industry/mining.
- Proven leadership and team building skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to influence a positive safety culture.
- Understanding of SAP/CMMS maintenance systems and processes, with solid Microsoft Office suite experience.
