Research Internship Opportunity

A research internship at Oracle Labs presents a unique chance to delve into complex software research problems in various areas of intelligent application security, including software composition analysis, runtime application self-protection, vulnerability detection and remediation, program synthesis, cloud security, supply chain security, and threat intelligence.

This internship offers a paid position, remunerated in accordance with industry standards, and provides an opportunity to work alongside engineers and researchers at Oracle Labs.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science
  • Passion for solving real-world problems through research and development
  • Demonstrable interest in software engineering, with Linux development experience being an advantage
  • Programming experience in two or more of C/C++, Java, and/or Python
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent English communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Work with the project lead and team to identify interesting research problems in the selected area
  • Analyze problem definitions and investigate and evaluate different software solution approaches in terms of functional completeness, extensibility, scalability, and performance
  • Develop research infrastructure that aids rapid experimentation and results capture
  • Design, implement, and test software prototypes as required
  • Deliver an end-of-project presentation to a wider audience at Oracle Labs, Brisbane
