Job Opportunity

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as casual hostel workers in Australia.

This role provides a great opportunity to be part of important work that supports First Nations peoples. If you're looking for employment in a supportive environment where your efforts truly matter, we'd like to hear from you.

You will have a strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the issues affecting First Nations peoples. While experience in a similar industry is desirable, what matters most is your ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Cooks:
    • Prepare meals and dining areas for residents.
    • Manage stock – including receiving, rotating, and monitoring food and kitchen supplies.
    • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Night Attendants:
    • Provide property security and ensure the safety of residents.
    • Attend to housekeeping duties, including upkeep of common rooms and grounds.
    • Monitor and authorise entry and exit of residents, staff and visitors.
    • Respond to emergencies when required.
  • Housekeepers:
    • Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the hostel.
    • Maintain adequate cleaning supplies and linen, ensuring appropriate storage.
    • Regularly inspect rooms for repairs and maintenance needs and report issues to the Hostel Manager or Assistant Manager.

The ideal candidate should be available to work flexible hours and be capable of managing emergency situations when they arise.

Prior to engagement, you are required to provide evidence of Australian Citizenship, undergo, obtain and maintain a Satisfactory National Criminal History Check, meet Fitness for Duty requirements, and hold and maintain NSW Working with Children Check.
