Transportation Infrastructure Project Lead

The Transportation Infrastructure Project Lead is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of transportation infrastructure projects. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating activities across multiple divisions, including maintenance, construction, landscape, and heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate project activities, ensuring timely completion and within budget.

  • Develop and implement project strategies, taking into account resources, stakeholder needs, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior staff, project team members, and external partners.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project delivery and quality.

  • Monitor project progress, resolving issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.

  • Develop and deliver presentations to stakeholders, summarizing project status, achievements, and future plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field, plus nine (9) years of progressive experience in transportation infrastructure development and management.

  • Equivalent education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

  • Master's degree in Public Administration, Organizational Management, or Leadership is preferred. Local government experience is highly valued.

Skills and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of transportation infrastructure development principles, project management, and organizational leadership.

  • Proficiency in engineering principles, project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Skilled in using GIS mapping tools, remote sensing software, and AutoCAD.

Work Environment

This role requires working primarily in an office setting, with regular site visits, exposure to outdoor conditions, machinery, and potential hazards.
