About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gas Team Leader to join our elite Gas Networks & Services Team at Downer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a frontline gas maintenance crew and delivering high-quality construction, fault response, and maintenance activities on gas mains and services throughout the gas distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a frontline gas maintenance crew and oversee the performance of employees and contractors.
  • Provide emergency response services during and after regular hours.
  • Proactively and visibly promote and drive a Zero Harm culture, guiding and coaching others.
  • Deliver planned and unplanned work, order materials and products required to complete allocated fieldwork, and control resources while on site.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of hands-on exposure to gas utility assets in the field, either as part of a crew or in a team leader role. You will also possess a MR/HR licence and an excavator licence is an advantage.
