Mechanical Equipment Specialist

About the Role

As a mechanical equipment specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that mission-critical mechanical systems are properly commissioned, tested, and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing test scripts for mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Attending vendor meetings and factory witness tests to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Coordinating with vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure that mechanical equipment is installed and operating correctly.
  • Providing technical documentation and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with team members to develop and implement maintenance programs and plans.
  • Ensuring safe work practices are followed by all personnel on site.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a mechanical or engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in commissioning and qualification in a regulated industry or facility management.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: data centre construction/commissioning, mission critical construction/commissioning, building commissioning, facilities and mechanical equipment startup walk-downs & troubleshooting, HVAC equipment, fluid/hydraulic systems, TAB, factory witness test experience, mechanical commissioning processes, equipment/facility handover.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • MS Project experience.
