Position Overview
We are in search of a seasoned Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) expert to enhance our vibrant Cyber team in Brisbane.
Team Dynamics
Our Cyber & Technology division is experiencing remarkable growth. We are relied upon by our clients to navigate complex challenges in cybersecurity, data privacy, cyber incidents, and forensic technology. Our approach is hands-on, collaborating closely with clients to devise and implement effective solutions to intricate issues. We maintain composure during crises, assisting clients in resolving high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities
You will play a crucial role in delivering Cyber Strategy & Risk projects, while also contributing to other areas such as cyber incidents, data privacy, and investigative tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and quantifying deficiencies in cyber resilience and maturity.
- Developing and implementing strategies to address identified gaps and enhance governance capabilities.
- Evaluating compliance with standards such as ISO27001, NIST, CPS 234, or the ACSC Essential 8.
- Establishing risk management and compliance programs for cyber and privacy, including assessments of third parties when necessary.
- Creating comprehensive reports, presentations, dashboards, and visualizations, and delivering client briefings.
- Managing engagement risks while ensuring high-quality standards across all projects.
- Upholding client confidentiality regarding their information and data.
- Enhancing client relationships through exceptional service.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or relevant technical experience.
- A strong understanding and enthusiasm for the technical aspects of cyber, information security, and privacy governance.
- Experience in Cyber Risk & Strategy projects, including safety programs, security risk assessments, and incident response exercises.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ambition, drive, and a proactive mindset.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong teamwork capabilities, a solid work ethic, and the ability to perform under pressure.
