Culture and Community Worker
About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated Culture and Community Worker to join our team. In this role, you will work sensitively and respectfully with families, children, and young people from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop strong relationships with families and communities through home visits, case management, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to identify and address the needs of vulnerable children and families.
- Provide guidance and support to families to help them achieve their goals and improve their well-being.
- Participate in court processes, including preparing documents and attending hearings.
- Engage in individual and group supervision to ensure ongoing professional development.
This is an Identified role, open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons.
Requirements:- A relevant diploma or degree qualification is preferred.
- Applicants without a relevant qualification require at least two years' experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
- The ability to build positive working relationships and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- A valid driver's license and paid working with children clearance number.
- Documented verification of Aboriginality.
