Job Title: Senior Fire Protection Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our Building Services team in Sydney. This is a key role in the business and a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next big step in their career.

The successful candidate will have experience in preparing and reviewing reports and technical specifications, including design of wet and dry fire services. They will also have the ability to prepare and verify designs and calculations using manual methods or computer programs.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma of Fire Systems Design (CPC50520) and NSW registered certifier C14 (building hydraulics) certification. They will also have knowledge and experience of the project lifecycle, engineering design processes for infrastructure projects, and relevant standards and NCC.

The Senior Fire Protection Engineer will work closely with senior and junior engineers, and will have the opportunity to plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and document a range of wet and dry fire services systems
  • Read and interpret Fire Engineering Briefs/Reports
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant standards and NCC
  • Knowledge and experience of the project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of engineering design processes for infrastructure projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Revit MEP is desirable
