We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Australia, based in either Perth or Brisbane CBD. As a trusted advisor, you will perform a variety of HR duties of moderate complexity, applying your knowledge of HR policies and procedures to support our people strategy.
The position primarily supports a key segment of our Resources Industries portfolio, working as part of a global diverse team. You will report to the Senior Human Resources Manager based in Newcastle.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide Direction and Guidance: Offer direction and guidance to employees and leaders in the interpretation and application of employee-related policies, practices, and procedures, as well as laws if applicable.
2. Trusted Advisor: Be a trusted advisor to the leadership team within the Resource Industries group, deploying strategic HR and diversity and inclusion initiatives to improve department results.
3. Lead Local and Global Projects: Ability to lead local and global projects on people matters, partnering with leaders to provide talent development solutions to improve employee engagement, leadership acumen, and business results.
4. Address Organisational Effectiveness Issues: Assist managers in addressing individual and organisational effectiveness issues, partnering with our talent attraction team and hiring managers to source top talent.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Prior working experience in human resources function.
- Proficient in the full MS office suite.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Labor law and regulations governing the Human Resources function.
- Sound understanding of human resources policies, practices, and procedures.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse situations, make decisions, and take measured risks using available data as well as insight.
- Proven ability to maintain high-level of confidentiality and dealing with sensitive issues.
- Understanding of total rewards strategies including unique benefits applying to mine sites in Australia.
- Experience with Workday, Teams, and SharePoint is desired or other similar people management systems.
