About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Receptionist to join our team at BaptistCare Shalom in Macquarie Park. As the first point of contact for our residents, families, and visitors, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and warmly welcome residents, families, and visitors.
  • Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member.
  • Assist with general office administration tasks, including handling mail, maintaining office supplies, and scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Support the team in organizing events and activities within the facility.
  • Manage accounting tasks such as processing invoices, managing petty cash, or overseeing Resident Trust Accounts.
  • Assist with roster management, including preparing and updating staff schedules, and ensuring coverage for shifts.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in aged care or healthcare.
  • Experience in accounting or roster management is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
