Quest Macquarie Park now has an exciting opportunity available for a **Houseman **to join its team on a casual basis.

**The Role**

Quest Macquarie Park’s housemen are highly valued members of our team, and key to ensuring positive experiences for our guests and the overall success of the business.

In particular, the role involves:

- Vacuum floors, hallways, Clean restrooms and all public areas.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes. vacuums and polishes floor.
- Collects soiled linen and restocks linen supplies on the floors and strips room if required
- Assists in keeping the lobby area clean, neat and free of debris and
- Removes rubbish as needed.
- Maintains housekeeping carts, guest amenities and stocks supplies to par levels
- Helps the room attendants with heavy lifting and special cleaning
- Report maintenance requirements, and basic guest room repair & maintenance
- Reporting any lost property following correct hotel procedures
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly
- Using correct chemicals for cleaning purposes using safe work practices
- Ensuring all WH&S policies and procedures are followed

Will demonstrate a can-do, responsible, and flexible approach to work, excellent communication skills, a friendly customer service demeanor, a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, discretion in guest interaction, and a strong appreciation for workplace safety. An ability to follow instructions and work quickly and efficiently to achieve individual and team goals is key.

Prior experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role ideally in a business environment is essential, and qualifications and prior experience in the hospitality, travel or tourism industries would be highly regarded.

The successful applicant must be available to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and have entitlements to work in Australia.
