
English Language Professor

At Boston Institute, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English language educator to fill the position of English Language Professor. As a member of our teaching team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of international students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of our English language programs, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with our institutional goals and standards.
- Teach a range of English courses, adapting materials to cater to diverse student levels and needs.
- Develop, implement, and continuously review our English curricula to ensure they remain up-to-date, engaging, and pedagogically sound.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to a team of English teachers, conducting regular observations and feedback sessions to enhance teaching quality.
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and feedback, implementing strategies to improve student outcomes, satisfaction, and engagement.
- Assist with scheduling classes, exams, and other academic-related tasks, while maintaining accurate course documentation.
- Ensure that our academic programs meet institutional standards and comply with regulatory and accreditation requirements, regularly reviewing and updating teaching practices to maintain academic excellence.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field (a Master's degree is preferred).
- Have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in ESL, with at least 1 year in an academic management or leadership role.
- Possess strong teaching skills, with experience in teaching both General English and EAP courses at various proficiency levels (A1 to C1).
- Exhibit leadership abilities, with proven experience managing or mentoring a team of educators and able to provide constructive feedback and create a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Have experience in creating, adapting, and evaluating English language curricula.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and administration.
- Possess excellent time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Be familiar with online teaching tools and learning management systems (LMS), with the ability to integrate technology effectively into the classroom.
- Adhere to a student-centered approach, with a passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting student learning and success.
