The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Site Director for our CRU Lake Mac Camp & Conference Centre. The successful applicant will be someone who can inspire and guide a team to provide an exceptional setting for Christian camps, utilizing our stunning Lake Macquarie location.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Christian Leadership: Provide pastoral support to staff, lead Bible studies, and encourage faith growth among the team.
  2. Human Resources Management: Recruit, lead, and manage staff, ensure compliance with employment laws, and supervise contractors.
  3. Facilitate Staff Meetings and Development Activities: Organize and lead staff meetings, training sessions, and development activities to enhance team performance.
  4. Hospitality Services: Ensure high-quality experiences for guests, maintain and grow occupancy levels, and build positive community relations.
  5. Site and Equipment Maintenance: Plan and oversee maintenance tasks, manage cleaning schedules, and ensure facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  6. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial planning to support CRU's ministries.
  7. General Management: Advise on policies and equipment, submit reports to the Executive Director/Director of Properties, and participate in Divisional Heads meetings.
Essential Criteria
  • Mature Christian faith with active church involvement and agreement with CRU's beliefs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in team leadership and management.
  • Proven skills in budgeting, maintenance, and customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office administration.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed and current driver's license.
  • Appropriate health and fitness to carry out all duties effectively.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience managing a Christian camping or conference centre.
  • Background in hospitality or tourism, and trade qualifications or experience.
  • Qualifications in hospitality or facilities management, human resources.
  • Additional certifications such as first aid, chainsaw training, tractor driving, or a boat driving license.
