Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for integrating advanced military and civilian air traffic control systems with modern voice communication solutions in a complex environment.

  • You will work with state-of-the-art commercial off-the-shelf solutions in defence communications, contributing to the enhancement of Australia's military air traffic control capabilities.

The ADATS Capability Assurance Program is a leading contractor with over two decades of experience in Australia's defence and security sector. We are seeking an Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) with exceptional technical skills to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement electrical and mechanical modifications required for system upgrades, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
  • Develop and execute system integration solutions for power distribution and communications cabling, utilising your knowledge of electrical design principles.
  • Conduct technical assessments and verification testing of integrated systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Create and review engineering documentation, including modification procedures and technical specifications, to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve complex integration challenges, providing innovative solutions and excellent communication.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A university degree in Engineering with a significant electrical or mechanical engineering component, demonstrating a solid foundation in technical principles.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience in systems integration or implementation, showcasing your ability to adapt to complex environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical design and system modifications, highlighting your technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and data interface standards, including RS232, RS422, USB, and Ethernet, enabling efficient integration and communication.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with limited supervision on complex technical projects, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
