About the Role
The Electrical Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems within Glencore. Reporting to the Electrical Assets Supervisor, this individual will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment.
  • Conducting electrical inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Installing and upgrading GFM LV and HV networks.
  • Fault finding and trouble-shooting electrical issues and breakdowns.
  • Maintaining drill rigs and addressing breakdowns.
  • Supporting improvement projects aimed at reducing unplanned stoppages.
  • Maintaining high OH&S and operational standards in the workplace.
  • Managing relationships with clients, staff, and management.
  • Attending break-downs as required by the business.
  • Planning work tasks to meet compliance with Weekly and Daily Plans.
  • Demonstrating leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Interpreting and updating technical drawings.

The successful candidate will possess:
  • A trade qualification in electrical work.
  • A proven track record of electrical repairs and maintenance.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read parts diagrams and schematics.
  • Skill in light fabrication, including making brackets and mountings.
  • An understanding of circuit diagrams and wiring.
  • Excellent overall electrical skills, including installation and repair.
  • The ability to work hard, reliably, and unsupervised.
  • A strong focus on completing jobs safely and compliantly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • A flexible approach and adaptability to change with attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a skilled and dedicated individual. The estimated salary for this position is approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
