Job Opportunity: Senior Support Technician

This position plays a vital role in our Operations group, requiring strategic planning and execution of routine preventative maintenance activities, as well as reactive tasks related to the electronic security system at Correctional Facilities and Projects located in Queensland.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute maintenance plans, ensuring timely delivery and reporting requirements for the long-term maintenance contract at Gatton Correctional Facilities.
  • Support various projects as directed, guaranteeing contract performance is met.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement and execute the Annual Works Plan.
  • Conduct routine, reactive, and preventative maintenance activities in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Maintenance encompasses systems such as SMS, CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, Video Analytics, Intercom, and Networks.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the delivery of Variations and Minor Works projects, participating in assigned project tasks, including equipment installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and witness testing.

About You:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the security industry with IP-based systems.
  • Proficiency with security systems IT hardware (e.g., network hardware, workstation build and modification, servers, and storage arrays) and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with setup/configuration and installation of Gallagher access control and intruder alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of setup/configuration of IP-based CCTV and intercom systems.
  • Ability to service and maintain general security system equipment.

Candidates are required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline level or have the ability to gain one.
