Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Officer to join our team. As a key member of our claims management function, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of complex financial lines claims.

You will provide specialist technical advice to claims staff on policy coverage, liability, quantum, strategy, and reserving. You will also appoint and manage external service providers, including legal panels.

In addition, you will maintain claim reserves timely in accordance with reserving guidelines and practices. You will provide feedback to underwriters and claims managers on issues or risk deficiencies identified during claims management.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial lines claims and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Financial Lines / Professional Indemnity Claims (minimum 3-4 years).
  • Experience mentoring claims staff in technical claims roles.
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance (e.g., Diploma in Financial Services General Insurance).
