Are you a passionate and driven journalist looking to take your career to the next level? We're seeking a talented Sports Journalist to join our dynamic News Team in Townsville.

About the Role

As a Sports Journalist with Seven West Media, you'll be responsible for gathering, editing, and presenting compelling local sports news stories in a composed, accurate, and engaging manner. You'll work closely with our Supervising Producer for Regional QLD to develop and maintain positive relationships with key people and organisations, break stories, and create engaging content.

About You

We're looking for a driven and energetic Journalist with excellent communication skills, the ability to think clearly and act quickly under pressure, and a solid understanding of media law and ethics. You'll have proven journalism/editorial skills, competency in script writing in TV News format, and meticulous attention to detail with some experience in a newsroom.
