The Role: Deliver high-quality patient care by implementing the Queensland Management and Treatment of Opioid Dependence Clinical Practice Guidelines.

About You
  • Hold a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
  • Be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Have a graduate certificate or greater in a relevant specialty area, demonstrating expertise in mental health nursing.
  • Hold a valid driver's license to facilitate travel to client locations.
  • Evidence vaccination against specified diseases to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Be credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
  • Undergo tuberculosis screening to meet occupational health requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support medical staff in community-based detox programs.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with complex co-morbid alcohol and other drug-associated issues.
  • Ensure optimal patient outcomes by adhering to evidence-based policies and procedures.
