We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in a modern restaurant serving great food and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of Ambassadors to ensure high standards and procedures are met to provide a positive guest experience.
  • Assist in managing staffing requirements to ensure luxury service is provided to guests.
  • Drive promotions and social media initiatives to increase brand awareness and attract new customers.
  • Maintain effective communication within the Food & Beverage teams, including the kitchen, and be responsive to Ambassador suggestions and guest feedback.
  • Responsible for the efficient operation and high-quality service of Hotel's bar outlets.
  • Maintain product knowledge of all drinks, snack, and wine lists to advise and make recommendations to guests.
  • Ensure adequate coverage at all times, review the roster in the absence of the manager, and make changes if business demands it.
  • Ensure revenue for the shift is accurately accounted for, with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience within a luxury Food and Beverage environment.
  • A proven guest focus and ability to build a rapport with guests.
  • A passion for Food and Beverage.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, software, and social media.
  • High level of wine knowledge, cocktail knowledge, and bartending skills.
  • A minimum of one year's experience in a similar role.
  • A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including weeknights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
