Join a Rewarding Rural Generalist Role

About the Role

In this unique solo doctor environment, you will have the chance to manage a wide range of medical cases, catering to patients from children to the elderly. The general practice operates three days a week and is situated alongside the hospital, where you will also be responsible for emergency department presentations during the day. After hours, support is provided by neighboring towns and a dedicated nursing team. The hospital includes three emergency department beds, three acute care beds, and a ten-bed residential aged care ward. If you appreciate working with a diverse population and enjoy variety in your daily tasks, this position allows you to start your day in the emergency department, conduct ward rounds by midday, and transition to general practice in the afternoon.

These locum positions can be supplemented with additional shifts at nearby locations.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must be vocationally registered GPs (FRACGP or FACRRM) with recent experience in rural emergency care and hold a current ALS2 (or equivalent) certification.
