Job Opportunity: Quality Control Microbiologist
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Microbiologist to perform critical sterility testing of medical devices, environmental monitoring and qualification of containment equipment in compliance with quality regulations.
About the Role
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Executing comprehensive sterility tests on pharmaceutical products
- Conducting environmental monitoring programs for viable and non-viable contaminants
- Assisting in the development, review and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to microbiological testing
- Performing data entry in Laboratory Information Management Systems
- Collaborating in the qualification (IQ, OQ and PQ) of biocontainment systems
- Participating in investigations of out-of-specification results
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in microbiology or a related science with further studies in microbiology or equivalent
- Relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry and familiarity with international quality standards
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g. USP, BP, EP)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a small team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
