About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Moran Sylvania home, located in the heart of Sydney's Sutherland Shire.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious and delicious meals for our residents
• Support the day-to-day delivery of food services, including menu planning and inventory management
• Liaise with the Chef Manager to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality
• Work collaboratively with the care team to provide a holistic approach to resident care
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new menus and recipes

Requirements

• Commercial cooking experience, preferably in a aged care or hospitality setting
• TAFE-approved Commercial Cookery Course or equivalent
• Certificate in Food Handling and Hygiene
• Familiarity with state Food Handling Regulations/HACCP
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
