Senior Investment Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to drive economic development by securing a range of investment outcomes.

The role leads the development of innovative private sector project proposals that enhance economic outcomes for Queensland. This role sits within Queensland Treasury and is responsible for promoting Queensland as an attractive investment location, creating a portfolio of targeted investment opportunities, and facilitating major investment opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, promoting, attracting, and facilitating investments that best leverage Queensland's advantages and opportunities;
  • Investor targeting and engagement nationally and internationally;
  • Hosting inward delegations and working with key stakeholders to attract investment into Queensland;
  • Cultivating exceptional productive working relationships;
  • Leading a team of talented individuals to ensure goals are achieved;

This role requires high-level strategic, conceptual, analytical, and creative capabilities with an understanding of the political, social, economic, and commercial environment. Results-focused approach and ability to lead, manage, and motivate people are essential. Experience at senior management level in private and/or public sector business environments is required.
