About the Role

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is seeking a highly skilled Data Applications Manager to join our Enterprise Data Solution team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of IT resources to provide IT application support, maintenance, and development services for projects and business-as-usual (BAU) activities.

About the Team

The Enterprise Data Solution Team operates within the Technology and Data Office, responsible for managing data applications within APRA and collaborating with the business and projects to enable APRA's strategic deliverables.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and user-focused individual with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You will have a solid understanding of integration technologies and patterns, experience in IT, including supervisory, program/project management experience, and past application management experience or IT consulting knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of IT resources to provide IT application support, maintenance, and development services.
  • Collaborate with the business and projects to enable APRA's strategic deliverables.
  • Develop and implement effective project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Ensure the delivery of resources within a project management environment.
  • Manage, mentor, and negotiate with staff to develop their strengths and address any weaknesses.
  • Develop convincing business cases to implement plans for adoption of new or updated technology.
