The Role
As a Graduate Environmental Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environment management systems, coordinating risk assessments, and supporting regional and site teams through data entry, review, analysis, reporting, review and update of manuals and procedures, and report submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining an Environment Management System with a focus on regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and best practices.
- Assisting with the coordination of environmental risk assessments.
- Assisting with the identification of potential environmental impacts and helping to develop and implement mitigation strategies to reduce those risks.
- Supporting regional and site environmental teams through data entry, review, analysis, reporting, review and update of manuals and procedures, and report submission.
- Assisting with coordination of internal and external environmental audits.
Development and Growth
Throughout the program, you will have access to coaching, mentoring, hands-on, and professional training, as well as diverse experiences from working in corporate offices to onsite environments within mine sites, powerhouses, and alumina refineries.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, use initiative and take ownership of your work, communicate effectively and think analytically with a creative and collaborative approach to problem solving.
