Design Specialist

As a key contributor to our packaging design team, you will play a vital role in expanding our design capabilities while being part of a dynamic work environment.

Job Overview:
  • Create visually appealing product packaging and graphics for concept presentations and custom applications.
  • Support the creation of product illustrations, concept sketches, diagrams, design specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Evaluate design ideas considering factors such as appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, materials, methods engineering, application, budget, price, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, and client specifications.
  • Provide day-to-day quoting support to sales teams and contribute to the tender process from initial quoting through to commercial analysis.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities on new and existing materials to improve customer margin.
  • Be the primary contact for project work that requires quoting, costing, and onboarding of customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Packaging design and estimating experience with a strong understanding of 3-dimensional form and space.
  • Ability to articulate and communicate creative ideas via concept sketching or verbal presentations.
  • Proficiency in CAD programs to create models and renderings, as well as building physical models and prototypes to bring creative concepts to life.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing packaging design and estimating expertise.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
