Your Role

We're seeking an experienced Software Engineer - Backend to join our Payments squad in Sydney or Melbourne. As part of this team, you'll learn and grow through experimentation, enhancing existing features and building new ones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engineering initiatives and work with the team to contribute to the product roadmap
  • Develop and maintain the spend and loyalty system
  • E nsure that solutions are delivered at the highest quality
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve the desired result

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Great experience with Java or Kotlin with Springboot
  • Experience working across various different databases such as SQL server, Oracle or Postgres
  • Experience with Agile Development, Design Patterns, TDD
  • Competence with CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab/Bitbucket
  • Flexibility, an open mind and curiosity for learning

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with microservices and event-based architectures - we use Kafka
  • Experience working in the cloud with AWS
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies like React
