Job Title: Culinary Artist

This permanent part-time position is for a skilled culinary professional within our catering services team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare nutritious and appetising meals for patients, staff, doctors, the cafe, and hospital functions.
  • Ensure food quality, hygiene, and safety standards are upheld in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Support daily kitchen operations including ordering, stock rotation, and food safety compliance.
  • Work collaboratively in a busy team environment, reporting to the executive chef.
Dietary Knowledge and Safety Compliance:
  • Understand and meet patient dietary requirements.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is essential.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Proven experience in food preparation for individuals and groups is required.
  • Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills are necessary.
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays is required.
Benefits:

An hourly rate of $31.26 - $33.31 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications is offered.
