Bakery Assistant Required

We are seeking a skilled baker to fill this position. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in baking and pastry-making, with a Certificate in culinary arts or a relevant field.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Mixing, preparing, weighing and measuring ingredients for the preparation of baked goods.
  • Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings, etc., to ensure presentation is beautiful and exciting.
  • Glazing buns and pastries and decorating cakes with cream and icing.
  • Monitoring stocks for baking ingredients and making orders within budget.
  • Contributing ideas to the menu and participating in seasonal pastry menu development.
  • Ensuring food hygiene and safety requirements are met.
  • Keeping a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
  • Operating a variety of kitchen equipment.
  • Recruiting and training personnel as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Certificate in culinary arts or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a baker.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work split shifts and weekends.
