About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team at Busways. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with our fleet of vehicles.
  • Maintain and repair all company vehicles and assets in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures and safety standards.
  • Attend breakdowns and carry out any field-related mechanical repairs.
  • Effectively communicate any safety or maintenance issues to the workshop team.
  • Adhere to all Work, Health & Safety requirements while performing work duties.
  • Maintain clean workshop practices.
Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) essential.
  • Experience in the service and maintenance of vehicles, with a focus on heavy vehicle diesel mechanics.
  • Sound level of verbal and written communication.
  • Experience in working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules.
  • Proactive approach with a drive to continuously improve and adapt to a dynamic and growing team.
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or working rights in Australia.
